Từ ngày 12 đến 13/10/2017, Trường Đại học Ngoại ngữ đã tổ chức tập huấn hoạt động Khoa học công nghệ năm học 2017-2018 cho các giảng viên, cán bộ trường. Đây là hoạt động nằm trong kế hoạch của Nhà trường nhằm bồi dưỡng, nâng cao kiến thức cho các thầy cô, hiệu quả của hoạt động khoa học công nghệ trong trường.
Phát biểu trong buổi khai mạc, Phó Hiệu trưởng Ngô Minh Thủy cho biết nghiên cứu khoa học là một nhiệm vụ quan trọng của giảng viên. Với định hướng chú trọng nghiên cứu, Nhà trường đã có nhiều hoạt động hỗ trợ công tác này như: Xuất bản Tạp chí Nghiên cứu Nước ngoài, tổ chức và phối hợp các hội thảo quốc gia và quốc tế, cấp kinh phí viết sách chuyên khảo, tập huấn các nội dung liên quan đến khoa học công nghệ, trao đổi hợp tác giữa 3 trường đại học ngoại ngữ và nhiều hoạt động khác hỗ trợ hoạt động. Phó Hiệu trưởng mong rằng các thầy cô sẽ tận dụng cơ hội tập huấn này, lĩnh hội kiến thức để áp dụng hiệu quả vào công việc.

Trong các buổi hướng dẫn, PGS. TS. Lâm Quang Đông – Trưởng phòng KHCN đã phổ biến kiến thức về các văn bản quy định, hướng dẫn kế hoạch hoạt động khoa học công nghệ và các biểu mẫu liên quan. Qua đó, những quy định về nhiệm vụ nghiên cứu khoa học của trường đều được chia sẻ cụ thể.
Bên cạnh đó, ThS. Trịnh Hải Tuấn – Phó Giám đốc Trung tâm CNTT-TT&HL đã giới thiệu và hướng dẫn sử dụng phần mềm quản lý KHCN và hệ thống hội thảo mở trực tuyến. Đây là các dự án được Nhà trường thực hiện nhằm tăng cường tính công nghệ thông tin, tiện dụng cho các thầy cô nghiên cứu khoa học. Ngoài ra, những thắc mắc liên quan đến hoạt động KHCN cũng được các thầy phụ trách giải đáp tận tình.
Hoạt động tập huấn đã thu hút hơn 500 cán bộ, giảng viên trường đăng ký tham gia.
